Reneé Rapp gets honest about her first meeting with idol Beyoncé thanks to her best friend, Cara Delevingne.
During an appearance on May 27 episode of Good Hang podcast with Amy Poehler podcast, Rapp revealed that Delevingne played a major role in bringing the Mean Girls actress and Beyoncé together at Oscars afterparty.
“I have met Beyoncé. I was forced by one of my best friends Cara,” shared the 25-year-old.
Rapp mentioned that her friend Delevingne would “always introduce” her to someone.
“Always. She’s like, ‘You Must.’ And for Beyoncé, she was like, ‘This is your like hero,’” recalled the actress.
Rapp opened up that the introduction took place at an Oscars afterparty where all three women were in attendance.
“Cara was like, ‘You must say hi to her’… she was like, ‘You have to,'” recounted the Too Well hit-maker.
However, Rapp admitted that Delevingne “dragged” her saying this is your “hero”.
When the moment finally happened, Rapp kept the interaction quick as she was completely star-struck and “very drunk”.
“I turned around maybe three feet, middle of a party, screamed at the top of my lungs,” she continued.
Rapp revealed, “I turned to Cara and was like, ‘Ah!’ I started freaking out.”
The singer and actress described meeting Beyoncé as “the greatest night” of her life.
Meanwhile, Rapp expressed her admiration for Delevingne, adding, “Cara is like the best person to have out with you because she is like your biggest cheerleader ever.”
“She’s like one of the greatest friends on planet Earth but knows how much I love Beyoncé and is really fearless about it,” concluded World Burn crooner.
