Jackie Chan recalls key reason why his late mother viewed films half way

Jackie Chan revealed a major reason why his mother never fully watched his hit block busters.

Chan, who is a veteran actor and has been acting since the last 64 years, reflected on his time with his mother - who died in 2002.

While promoting his new film Karate Kid: Legends, he told the People magazine, "My Mom never watched the whole of one of my movies."

"She started the movie, starts at the beginning, maybe the credits. [But] when she sees I’m doing a stunt, she turns around," he recalled.

He further explained that in the movies, "When I hit somebody, she didn’t want to see. Somebody hit me, she didn’t want to see."

Hence, "She never watched a whole movie."

However, the Rush Hour actor assured that despite his mother never watched the films, she was still a big fan of his work.

"She had all my posters," the actor recalled affectionately. "She touched and kissed them before sleeping. That’s my mom."

Chan’s new film Karate Kid: Legend was released in theatres on May 30.
