Tom Cruise’s Mission Impossible – The Final Reckoning createshistory as it has broken the record of its predecessor.
The film witnessed quite a successful opening weekend taking its total earning to $63 million at the US box office, surpassing Mission: Impossible – Fallout, which stood at $61 million on first weekend.
Cruise is over whelmed to see the response the audience has given after seeing his new film.
He even penned down his feelings on social media in an emotional note, where he thanked the filmmakers and the cinegoers for immense love and support.
The 62-year-old action star wrote, “This weekend was one for the history books!”
“Congratulations and thank you every filmmaker, every artist, every crew member, and every single person who works at the studios.”
“To every theater and every employee who helps bring these stories to audiences, thank you.”
Tom appreciated and thanked Paramount Pictures and Skydance for years of partnership and unwavering support.
“And most pf all, Thank You to audiences everywhere – for whom we all serve and for whom we all love to entertain”, Cruise concluded.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, the eighth sequel came out in theatres on May 23 featuring Tom along with Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and Hayley Atwell.
