Black warrants issued

District and Sessions Judge Nazeer Ahmad Ganjana on Friday issued black warrants for a convict, Muhammad Nazeer.

The convict will be hanged until death on June 2 in Kot Lakhpat Jail. The court has also appointed a magistrate to supervise the hanging.

As per details, police had registered a murder case against Muhammad Nazeer over the charges of murdering one Muhammad Tufail over personal enmity.

Later, the trial court had convicted Nazeer to death in 2007 as he was proved guilty of said crime.

convicted: An Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Asghar Khan on Friday awarded the death sentence to Hassan Subhani over the charges of murdering his wife in 2007.

The convict had murdered his wife in 2007 during a domestic broil in the area of Sandha. Later, challan was submitted before the court by police declaring Subhani guilty of said crime. On Friday, the court after hearing final arguments of both parties convicted Subhani.

Meanwhile, the same court awarded life imprisonment to one Muneer Ahmed over the charges of murdering his real brother.

The court has also directed convict to pay Rs500,000 as compensation to the legal heirs of the deceased. In case of default in payment of fine convict will face further jail term.

Muneer had murdered his real brother Naveed Ahmed over a family dispute of exchange marriage. 

fined: Judicial Magistrate Saima Qureshi on Friday imposed Rs 100,000 fine on the owner of a bread factory for producing substandard bread.

Punjab Food Authority had registered a case against the owner of the food factory for producing substandard bread. On Friday, chief executive of the factory, Basharat, appeared before the court and recorded his statement. He said that during the production of bread, the factory management failed to maintain hygiene. He assured that in future, the factory administration would make sure implementation of cleanliness. The court after recording his statement imposed Rs 100,000 fine on the factory owner.
