LAHORE: The Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) plans to set up at least two industrial estates in every district of the province with the priority to the Southern Punjab to bring the region at par with other parts of the province.
This was stated by PIEDMC Chief Executive Officer Colonel Naveed Mushtaq Gill (Retd), while talking to the Member National Assembly Tehmina Daultana, who played a vital role in setting up of the Vehari Industrial Estate.
Other notables and industrialists from the district Vehari were also present on the occasion.
He said that the allotment of industrial plots has been initiated after the completion of the first phase at the Vehari Industrial Estate.
A good number of industrial plots are being allotted to the local industrialists in the estate, he said.
“The industrial units from textile, ginning, food processing, handicrafts and other sectors would be in place at the estate,” he added.
He expressed the hope that an industrial activity in the district would create jobs for the youth of Vehari. He also assured of best facilitations to industrialists in the estate.
The Vehari Industrial Estate is situated at the Khanewal road. This industrial estate would prove a game changer for the development and growth of district Vehari.
