PESHAWAR: The Floral Art Society of Pakistan (FASP), Peshawar chapter, has been striving since its inception to provide livelihood opportunities to the underprivileged women.
According to a press release, the society also took steps to promote culture. “The FASP is proud of the charity initiatives that it has taken so far,” it added. It said that FASP believed in meaningful, altruistic and socially responsible contribution to the society.
The press release said that FASP also worked for a cleaner environment by launching the “GO Green project” replacing polythene bags with “Go Green” cloth bags.It said that the women members of FASP raised funds to promote the projects launched for the IDPs when Peshawar witnessed the exodus of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) from Swat and Bajaur Agency. The projects included vocational support and literacy programmes.
