After the success of her acclaimed action-thriller NH10, released under the banner of her production company Clean Slate Films, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma seems to have a lot up her sleeve this year. The actress, who is currently shooting for her upcoming film Sultan opposite superstar Salman Khan, is all set to produce three films in a row.

While she has already started shooting for her first Punjabi production Phillauri, a rom-com opposite Diljit Dosanjh, Sharma has also roped in Saif Ali Khan to play the lead in her next Hindi production. Khan will be essaying a quirky role in the untitled comedy film that will be directed by Delhi Belly writer Akshat Verma.
According to The Times of India, “Saif’s impeccable comic timing landed him the role. He was in fine form in the dark comedy Being Cyrus, and will be seen in a completely new avatar for Akshat’s project too. It is a unique film, one that demands an actor of Saif’s caliber.”
“Anushka is heading a production house for the sheer love of films and to cater to the need for better content-driven projects. She will not be acting in all of her productions due to other commitments and the fact that she does not intend to be the face of every film. As a producer, the actress is focusing on bringing the best talents into the limelight,” a source close to the actress told TOI.
While the actress plays a wrestler in her upcoming film Sultan, she is said to be playing the role of a witch in Phullauri, written by the actress herself.
