TV and film actress Saba Qamar, who is gearing up to mesmerize fans as a rockstar in the upcoming rom-com Lahore Se Aagey (the sequel to Karachi Se Lahore) opposite Yasir Hussain, is set to join the league of Pakistani actresses making their way to Bollywood. After Mawra Hocane, Mahira Khan, Momal Sheikh and others, Qamar is all set to make her big Bollywood debut.

In a quick telephonic conversation with Instep, the actress confirmed the news of her debut in Bollywood and also revealed that she will be working alongside the versatile and talented Irrfan Khan. “I can’t reveal anything about the film as yet but it’s a great project and I will soon be heading to India to start working on it,” Qamar shared.

Qamar has been one of the most talented actresses of Pakistan’s entertainment industry, who has showcased her acting chops in several TV plays as well as in films. She was last seen in director-actor Sarmad Khoosat’s Manto - a biopic on the controversial Urdu writer Saadat Hasan Manto – in which she essayed the role of Malika-e-Taranum Noor Jehan. Needless to say, hers was a performance to look out for. What now needs to be seen is the scope of Qamar’s role in the film. Will she, like Fawad, rise to prominence? We’ll only know once the film releases.
