LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has observed that responsibles of petrol crisis should be identified, Geo News reported.

Hearing the petitions filed against the petrol crisis, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah of LHC remarked that no one could be allowed to usurp the basic rights of the citizen and asked the government to ascertain those responsible for petrol shortage.

Representatives of Petroleum Ministry, Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) appeared before the court on Thursday here.

The representative of the federal government told the court that the oil could not be supplied due to technical faults and fog, causing the petrol shortage in the country, however, he said the crisis has been overcome.

Later, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah ordered to produce the report of Petrol Crisis probe committee and minutes of the meeting between Petroleum Ministry and oil companies in the next hearing on February 6.
