LAKKI MARWAT: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Member National Assembly (MNA) Col (r) Dr Amirullah Marwat accused Maulana Fazlur Rehman, chief of his own faction, Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) for delivering hate speech during Mufti Mehmood Conference which they claimed was purely an Islamic event.
Talking to The News here on Tuesday, Col (r) Amirullah Marwat said that Maulana levelled baseless accusations against PTI chief Imran Khan in his public rally in Lakki Marwat on Sunday last.
He said Fazlur Rehman is the chairman of the Kashmir Committee and did not utter even a single word about the Kashmiris fighting over there since long.
He said that his father, late Mufti Mehmood, was the member of Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind and that’s why he opposed the creation of Pakistan. “Maulana should have called a scholar from a Muslim country rather than India which has been our staunch enemy since partition,” he maintained.
He alleged that Maulana spoke against the women supporting PTI and other parties and taking active part in politics but he should keep it in mind that more than 50 percent population comprised of women folk.
He said Maulana had been a part of the present federal government which had been showing vulgarity in the morning shows and other programmes through electronic media but Maulana was silent on this due to his own vested interests in the government.
He said Maulana should not feel pride over the people attended Mufti Mehmood Conference in Lakki Marwat as he had hired vehicles for them while much more people came to Imran Khan’s rally just on two days notice on their own.
Col (r) Amirullah said Imran Khan being a true Pakistani had been trying to take the people out of the slavery of Nawaz Sharif and his associates.
He said that the poor people in the southern districts of the province were enrolling their children in the seminaries for getting religious education but Maulana was trying to teach them some other courses.
Regarding the JUI-F influence in the district, he said that in the next election the Maulana’s party would be uprooted completely as the people were aware of his policies and politics. “Maulana is better to resign from the federal government rather criticising their policies and strategies as his ministers are already in the federal cabinet,” he maintained, adding that PTI chief Imran Khan had raised awareness among the people of Pakistan.
