Islamabad: A pillion-riding woman gunned down a young government employee in broad daylight at 9th Avenue on Thursday and disappeared from the scene, police said.
The Margalla Police have taken up the case and started search for the ‘killer woman’ after shifting the dead body to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
The victim was identified as Mohammad Bilal Safdar, aged 26, son of Safdar Hussain, a resident of Pindigheb, Attock.
According to the service card, recovered from his pocket, he was a personnel of the PAF and deployed at the PAF Base Nur Khan Base as a radar operator, police said.
Police, quoting statements of the people who witnessed the incident, said that a woman, sitting on the pillion seat, whipped out a gun and shot at the head of Mohammad Bilal Safdar who was heading towards Sector G-9/1 on his bike. The victim died on the spot.
Police could not get any clue about the killer, however, cops have recovered the mobile phone set of the victim and got telephone data to collect information about the woman.
In another incident, two gunmen came to the house of Bilal, son of Kaleem, a student of 10th class and resident of House 837, Street 7, I-9/1. They called Bilal from his house and shot him dead.
