The City School, Junior Section, organised an ‘Urdu Mushaira’ on Tuesday, says a press release.
The lively participants were dressed up in traditional codes of ‘chooridaar pyjamas’ and ‘dupattas’, following the ethics of ‘Mehfil-e-Shairi’. It was a heart-warming experience watching little children reciting poetry with expression and eloquence, peppered with a hint of humour.
The morning seemed brighter as the sun beamed upon the smiling faces of the audience. Mothers felt proud wearing gleaming grins while the audience smirked around with joy. The voices of ‘irshad’ and ‘mukarrir’ were pursued in its right essence hence following the principles of ‘mushaira’ and came as a pleasant surprise to everyone. Discipline was spectacular as poetry engaged the spectators fully.
