Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif presided over a meeting here Sunday which reviewed the pace of implementation of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute and Research Centre.Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said the project of Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute was of vital importance which would cost billions of rupees while 100 percent free of charge treatment facilities would be provided to poor, destitute and deserving patients. He said the institution would be state-of-the-art regarding the treatment of kidney and liver diseases and result in provision of modern medical facilities to kidney and liver patients under one roof.
He directed that work should be carried out on this project round-the-clock and construction work be completed expeditiously. He said the institutions concerned and departments should further this project in a coordinated manner. He said he was personally monitoring the progress on the project. He said provision of modern treatment facilities to masses was the priority of the government and keeping in view this fact, foundation stone of Pakistan Kidney & Liver Transplant Institute had been laid in Lahore.
minister:Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar while commenting on a news item published in a section of press has said that no Pakistani can support corruption at any level which is weakening the roots of our country morally and economically.He said that we can justify ourselves only by strongly supporting the steps being taken by present government and national institutions to eliminate corruption from our society. He said that global elevation of the country was not possible without curbing the menace of corruption at home. “I fully support the accountability campaign which has been initiated by the government across the board and the national institutions which are engaged in this process of cleansing the motherland at every level”, he added.
