Cold continental air prevails over most parts of the country resulting in a very cold and partly cloudy weather with isolated frost and mist in the provincial capital on today (Saturday). The Met Office, in a weather Friday said yesterday’s trough of the westerly wave, lying over western parts of Iran has squeezed and moved South-eastwards and lied over south-eastern parts of the country. It predicted that during the next 72 hours widespread thunderstorm/rain with light to heavy snowfall over the hills associated with gusty winds would occur over FATA, Northern KPK, northern Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
