KARACHI: The 13th International Exhibition of Plastics, Printing, Packaging and 12th International edition of Food and Beverage Processing have fetched over $100 million orders in the three day deals and bookings.
The twin expos of technology and machineries ended on Thursday here at the Karachi Expo Centre, receiving tremendous response from the trade and industry visitors on the last day.
The biggest response was received by the Chinese and Iranian exhibitors, as they received several trade visitors and signed many contracts to supply machinery to the local entrepreneurs. Machinery at most of the stalls showed “sold out” tags, with stall holders overflowing with joy after the three most hectic days.
A number of exhibitors expressing complete satisfaction with the outcome of the three days said the show was the fruit of the law enforcing agencies’ efforts to restore peace and maintain law and order in the commercial and industrial hub of the country. They said that it was due to the efforts made by the law enforcement agencies that the business community has taken a sigh of relief after a long spell of fear and terror.
Exhibitors and organisers are hopeful and said that if the peaceful conditions remained, the industrial and commercial hustle bustle would surely return to Karachi.
More than hundred companies from 25 countries have participated in the B2B event. Turkish Consul General in Karachi, Murat Mustafa Onart also visited the venue on the last day and was extremely impressed with the great response of the visitors. Iranian Consul General Murad Subhani too visited the Irani pavilion and was impressed with the exhibitors’ and organisers efforts.
The local and foreign visitors participated with latest technology, showcasing the latest product ranges like plastics processing, printing and packaging, including injection moulding, slitting and winding, shrink, stretch wrapping, and solvent less laminators, industrial compressors, mono and multi-layer blown film lines, and petrochemicals.
World’s leading Italian technology supplier of injection and compression moulding was also a major attraction at the event.
Along with these, food and beverage processing lines, bakery and confectionery equipment, milk and value added product processing, meat processing, material handling equipment, inspection and detection instruments and slaughterhouse equipments were also on the display list of the IFTECH 2015.
