ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi called on Chinese President Xi Jinping here on Monday and exchanged views with him on different aspects of bilateral relations, says a press release. The Chinese president appreciated the proposals and suggestions put forth by the two leaders during the meeting.
Shujaat Hussain said that special attention was paid to relations with China during our tenure and our party had close contacts with Chinese Communist Party. He said the entire Pakistani nation was happy over the visit of the Chinese president.
He suggested to the Chinese president that special projects should be launched for the Pakistani youth who are more than 50 per cent of the total population and centres should be opened in major cities of Pakistan for learning the Chinese language.
Talking to the Chinese president, Pervaiz Elahi said that you had taken historical steps against corruption. Chinese special experts should be sent for monitoring and timely completion of mega projects which are being launched in Pakistan with the Chinese assistance, these experts should keep close eye on the Chinese-assisted mega projects and do not allow any corruption. Meeting of the two leaders with the Chinese President was held in a very pleasant and cordial manner.
