Nawaz takes notice of MQM worker’s killing

ISLAMABAD: Taking notice of MQM worker Sohail Ahmad’s killing in Karachi, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered an immediate probe into the incident. The prime minister condemned the assassination and spoke to MQM leader Senator Babar Ghauri on Wednesday evening.
The sources in the PM House told The News that Prime Minister Nawaz ascertained the facts about the killing of Sohail from Senator Babar Ghauri and assured him that the federal government wouldn’t tolerate such heinous acts. Babar Ghauri thanked the prime minister for taking notice of the gory incident and asked for steps to check such brutalities.
Earlier, Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar called Babar Ghauri and expressed similar sentiments. Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan also took notice of the incident and asked the law enforcing agencies in Karachi to investigate it and report to him. He also condemned the killing of the political worker.
