ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday barred the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting the PML-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and former secretary petroleum Arshad Mirza and granted them protective bails for four weeks in the illegal appointment case.

A divisional bench of the IHC conducted the hearing of protective bail plea of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. Barrister Zafarullah Khan filed the petition on Abbasi’s behalf on Saturday. The Accountability Court, Karachi, on Friday issued non-bailable warrants for Abbasi in the illegal appointment reference.
