Taking notice of reports of the alleged abduction of a Hindu girl in the Kotri area, Sindh Minister for Food and Minority Affairs Hari Ram Kishori Lal contacted the DIG Hyderabad on the phone on Tuesday and directed him to take immediate steps for her recovery.
He said the family had alleged that police were involved in the incident, which should be investigated immediately and an FIR lodged. The family was said to have called for the submission of a report as soon as possible.
The minister said that according to the girl's parents, she works in a cotton factory. He said the suspects should be arrested and strict action taken against them as per the law. Lal also directed the district administration to extend all possible cooperation to the affected family.
