Five BLA terrorists killed in Quetta operation
QUETTA: A BLA terrorism plot in Quetta was foiled by the CTD when they conducted an intelligence based operation against the terrorists’ nest, killing five terrorists in Killi Gulzar, Hazar Ganji in the jurisdiction of PS Shalkot, District Quetta, on Monday night, the Quetta Police spokesman said and added arms and explosives were recovered from their possession.
The CTD Police received actionable intelligence about the presence of a large group of BLA terrorists in Killi Gulzar, Hazar Ganji, planning to attack a sensitive installation. In pursuance of the information, the CTD Police mounted a swift operation and on reaching the terrorist hideout, challenged the Baloch subnationalists to surrender.
The terrorists, surrounded from all sides, instead attacked the police, which resulted in a heavy exchange of fire. When the firing ceased, five of the BLA terrorists were found dead, while as many as three had managed to escape, the CTD spokesman said. The police, according to the spokesman, recovered two sub-machine guns, three 9mm pistols, along with their rounds, two hand grenades and two motorcycles from the dead terrorists.
The CTD Police are pursuing the other terrorists of the group besides conducting investigations into the particular network of BLA terrorists. An FIR has been lodged at the CTD Police Station, the spokesman said.
