Siraj shows concerns over custodial killing
ISLAMABAD: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq has said the law and order situation is deteriorating day by day in the country, while the police and law enforcement agencies have completely failed to fulfill their responsibilities to protect the people.
In a statement issued on Monday, Siraj-ul-Haq said the death of a 16-year-old boy Hassan Khan in Islamabad Police’s custody and killing of Sardar Taj Muhammad Wazir in Bannu were the recent incidents that exposed the performances of the law enforcement agencies in KP and federal capital.
He said the PTI used to make claims to bring reforms in ‘Thana culture’, while it was in the opposition, but nothing had happened yet, emphasising that the country could not go forward without ensuring the rule of law.
