Bid to smuggle heroin foiled

PESHAWAR: The police on Friday foiled a bid to smuggle heroin and hashish and arrested three alleged smugglers, including a woman.
The station house officer Tatara Arbab Naeem Haider told reporters that a woman Mrs Sharif was stopped and during search two kilograms of heroin were recovered from her. He added the drugs were being smuggled to Nowshera. Also, the police arrested two smugglers in University Town and Badaber and recovered seven kilograms of hashish from them. Meanwhile, the police in Chamkani arrested seven persons for illegally occupying the land of a local Said Rehman.
