ISLAMABAD: The Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leadership has accused the Prime Minister Imran Khan of failing to provide relief to masses during the lockdown situation in the country.

"The prime minister has not been able to provide relief to people and his performance is limited to addresses and making claims," the JI Central Naib Ameer Mian Muhammad Aslam said while talking to media during a visit of Al Khidmat Foundation's warehouse. He regretted that during two weeks of lockdown, the government has not been able to provide protection kits to doctors in hospitals and relief goods to deserving people.

Mian Aslam said that instead of creating the Tiger Force, the prime minister should have utilised services of NGOs like Al Khidmat Foundation and union councils. He was of the view that spending huge money through Tiger Force would open up avenues of corruption.

He further said that around 5000 committees of Al Khidmat Foundation were serving the people day and night. So far around 6000 mosques, temples, prisons etc have been cleaned and sprayed while 300 ambulances, hundreds of dispensaries and hospitals have been dedicated to serve the community irrespective of caste, religion and sect.
