Khaki Mandi locked down as fourth coronavirus case emerges in Mansehra
MANSEHRA: Police have locked down Khaki Mandi area after a man, having no travel history, was infected by Covid-19 increasing the total number of positive cases to four in the district.
“We have sealed the entire village where we have a local man having been infected with coronavirus; this case is the first of its nature,” Usman Ali, the additional assistant commissioner (revenue), told reporters on Friday.
Syed Sabullah was declared the fourth patient after his swab taken some three days ago confirmed that he was infected by coronavirus. “We have declared his residence a quarantine centre and nobody would be allowed in and out to of that house,” said Ali. He added that the health department was expecting more cases from the village as an infected person was having no travelling history and it seems someone else present in the locality was a carrier and could infect more people if not kept in quarantine.
“We have also disseminated information among locals to stick to their houses to contain the spread of Covid-19 there,” said Usman.
