FIA arrests suspect in Larkana on cybercrime charges
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday claimed to have arrested a man allegedly involved in cybercrimes.
The arrest was made by the Cyber Crime Circle of the FIA, Karachi, during a raid in Larkana. The suspect, according to an FIA spokesperson, was involved in stealing records of different banks, causing financial losses to customers of the banks. He added that FIA officials seized a laptop and a cell phone containing important data from the possession of the suspect.
The raid came after a citizen in Karachi complained that the suspect had used the bank data for online shopping, sold products and used different websites such as dark web, deep
web and black web for that purpose.
The FIA spokesperson said some other people were also involved in the fraud, and the investigators had launched a hunt for the gang members.
