KARACHI: SHC Blues and Pakistan Lawyers defeated Thunder Wolves and KBCA in their qualifying matches of Independence Cup Color-kit T20 tournament at UBL sports complex ground.
Pakistan Lawyers beat KBCA by six wickets. KBCA scored 140 runs for the loss of nine wickets with Aamar Iqbal scoring 38 and Mohammad Amir 35. Pakistan Lawyers chased the target for the loss of four wickets. Hanif Shahzad scored 37 not out, Suleman Huda made 27 and Rehman Ghous 26 runs.
In another match, SHC Blues scored 196 for eight with fine batting by Kamran Omer (41), Manzoor Maqsood (39) and Mohammad Asim (33). Thunder Wolves lost wickets at regular intervals. Usman took four wickets for 21.
