Rapid deforestation
February 24, 2019
For the sustainability of the environment, it is important to have sufficient forest cover. With forest cover of only 2.5 percent, Pakistan has the highest annual deforestation rate in Asia. If the country doesn’t take any steps towards the rapid deforestation, it will run out of all trees within the next few decades.
Trees are allowed to be razed down to the ground in favour of concrete jungles. Multi-storey apartments and high buildings have eliminated every ounce of beauty from the country. The government has to take serious steps towards tree plantation and ensure that our country is green and clean.
