TOBA TEK SINGH: Police on Saturday arrested a teacher of Chak 99/JB Gojra, on the charge of attempting to rape a lady teacher in a classroom of the school.
Reportedly, accused Khalid Mahmood allegedly attempted to rape a lady teacher in a classroom of the school during school timings. The lady teacher told that she was alone in the classroom when the accused allegedly tried to rape her. She said that she was the only lady teacher in the school as all other teachers were males. Meanwhile, District Education Officer Male (Elementary) Gulzar Ahmad Bhatti has suspended the accused teacher immediately.
‘GOVT TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL TRAINING TO MINORITIES’: The PTI government will provide technical training to 50,000 minority youth at the government’s vocational training institutes to send them abroad for jobs. It was said by Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs Ijaz Alam Austine while addressing a gathering at a private school here on Saturday. The minister distributed financial assistance cheques among the deserving minority persons.
ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIFE: A man died while another sustained injuries in an accident near Forest Park on Saturday.
Adnan Ahmad of Chak 383/JB and his friend Tahir were on their way when a car hit their bike on Toba-Jhang Road. As a result, Adnan died instantly while Tahir sustained injuries.
IOs attend workshop: Investigation officers (IOs) of different police stations of the district attended a training workshop on Saturday.
The workshop was aimed at telling the IOs about methods of forensic investigation after the occurrence of crime. Addressing the participants, District Police Officer (DPO) Sadiq Ali Dogar said the training would be very useful for the IOs in collecting evidence from the crime scenes through modern forensic methods. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Headquarters, Rehman Qadir distributed certificates among the participants.
