MMA to perform surprisingly well in polls, claims leader
Jamaat-e-Islami leader and Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) candidate from NA-242 Asadullah Bhutto has said that the MMA will perform surprisingly well in the upcoming general elections.
Speaking at different Eid gatherings, Bhutto said the people should elect honest candidates and place their trust in the MMA. He hoped that voters would reject candidates with corruption charges and instead elect people who could resolve problems at the grassroots level.
Bhutto said the megacity of Karachi faced a myriad of issues such as a shortage of water, loadshedding and a poor public transport. The MMA would try its best to resolve these issues, he added. Last Wednesday, Bhutto had asked the State Bank to remove his name from the list of defaulters and correct its records, or else he would take the matter to court.
