Lahore : Opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed called on Pakistan Muslim League-Q senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi at his residence on Saturday and consulted with him on different names for caretaker Punjab chief minister.
Talking on the occasion, Pervaiz Elahi said that corruption and commission had come to the fore in the "fake schemes" of Shahbaz Sharif even in the Saaf Paani Scheme. He alleged Shahbaz Sharif had been depriving the people of Punjab from their right for last 10 years. He said, "During the last days of his government, Shahbaz Sharif was putting plaques of his name in a hurried manner on the projects which were ready 10 years ago during my government, but these plaques are of no use as the people know whose works these are." He alleged that Shahbaz Sharif had been exposed before the poeple, as they were swindled in the name of Sasta Atta, Tandoor, Ashiana, Quaid-i-Azam solar power and other fake schemes. He said that during visits of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar to different institutions, people had put piles of problems before him, and they wept and narrated the stories of oppression of Punjab government. The PML-Q leaders said the patients told that facilities of free medicines and free emergency in hospitals which former CM Pervaiz Elahi had given had been ended.
