KHAR: At least 20 militants belonging to the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were reportedly killed in a US drone attack in the Kunar province of Afghanistan on Wednesday, sources said.
The sources said the attack was carried out in the Sultankhel area in Kunar in which 20 militants, including Abdullah, the son of the TTP head Mullah Fazlullah, were killed. The sources said the US drones fired three missiles on the militants' compound and training camp.
They said majority of those killed were would-be suicide bombers and one of their trainers. Six militants were also injured in the attack. Maulana Fazlullah escaped to Afghanistan's Kunar province when the Pakistan military launched an operation against his militants in Swat in May 2009.
