PESHAWAR: A resident of Badaber village here on Wednesday asked the government to take notice of the public sector hospitals’ management for not admitting his minor son.
Addressing a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Zafarullah said that his 10-month-old minor son Sufian was admitted in a private hospital for chest pain. He was later taken to Lady Reading Hospital but the authorities refused to admit his son in emergency ward. He said that he then took his son to Khyber Teaching Hospital but management there also refused to admit him on the pretext of lacking beds.
He posed a question as to whether it was the change in government hospitals as claimed by the provincial government. He said he was a poor man and could not afford treatment of his son in private hospitals. The man appealed to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman, chief minister and minister for health to take notice of the matter.
