Nowshera DPO transferred, posted in Swat

NOWSHERA: District Police Officer of Nowshera Wahid Mehmood has been transferred and posted as Swat police chief.
He will relinquish the present charge and assume his new duties on Monday. Qasim Ali Khan will replace him as Nowshera district police officer.
People from various walks of life, including traders, political workers from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Awami National party, Pakistan people’s Party and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, etc and local government representatives, meanwhile, praised the outgoing DPO Wahid Mehmood for performing well during his posting in the Nowshera district.
They said the outgoing DPO worked hard to ensure peace in the district by acting boldly against the anti-social elements.
The residents said the DPO set up a well-equipped driving license issuance centre in the district and encouraged people to turn to him at the Police Lines to have their genuine complaints addressed.
