Milk seller shoots robber dead, injures accomplice

A milk shop owner gunned down a robber and injured his accomplice during a robbery bid at his shop late on Wednesday night.

Awami Colony SHO Ghulam Rasool Arbab said milk seller Shafique also suffered a bullet injury to his foot when he shot at three robbers who tied to rob his shop in the Korangi area.

When the shop owner resisted the robbery bid, he said, a robber opened fire at his staffers but Shafique gunned down a robber and injured the second one in retaliation.

Their third accomplice managed to make a
getaway, he said, adding that a police team attended
the scene and moved the body and the injured to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. 

The shop owner and the injured robber are out of danger, the SHO said.  Muggers injure two men

Two citizens were injured by muggers for putting up resistance in separate incidents on Thursday.

Saudabad police said 34-year-old Feroze Raza was shot and injured by muggers in the Moeenabad area of Malir.

In a similar incident, 25-year-old Shahrukh sustained bullet wounds when he resisted a mugging bid near the Murghikhana bus stop in Quaidabad.

Shah Latif police said Shahrukh received a bullet injury to his leg and he was taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors said his condition was out danger.
