Rangers arrest eight suspects in raids
The paramilitary force on Wednesday claimed to have arrested eight suspects including target killers and extortionists during separate raids in the city.
Sindh Rangers spokesman said soldiers of the paramilitary force arrested, Shahabuddin, from a raid in Azizabad after he offered resistance in arrest.
During investigation the accused was found to be associated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)-Pakistan, the spokesman said, adding, that investigations from him reveals that he is involved in target killings, extortion, forceful collection of hides and creating panic during strike calls.
Two drug peddlers were arrested in a raid in SITE area. The accused were identified as Murad Bux and Taj Mohammed who were also associated with the Lyari gang-war. A huge cache of narcotics and weapons was also recovered from their possession.
In raids conducted in SITE, Gulshan and Al-Falah areas, the Rangers arrested five dacoits from SITE later identified as Tariq, Zaheer, Rab Nawaz, Ghulam Yaseen and Adnan.
