UET establishes new institute in Model Town
LAHORE:The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore has established a new extension in Model Town: the Institute of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Cybersecurity.
The institute officially inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr Shahid Munir will operate under the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The institute has launched two-year Associate Degree programmes, Master's (MS) programs, and weekend specialised courses. Students can now pursue advanced education in fields like Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. A welcome ceremony was also held for students of the institute’s first academic session. Dr Shahid Munir stated that the institute will not only provide high-quality education in cutting-edge fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, but will also offer modern laboratories, research centers, industry partnerships, and opportunities for hands-on projects.
