Meghan Markle takes a page from Prince William’s book alongside Harry
Despite being famous for saying ‘if you don’t mind get your finger out of my face’ Meghan seems to be taking a page from her brother-in-law’s book
Not just Prince Harry but even Meghan Markle has decided to plan her itinerary the same way as Prince William planned his, during Prince Harry’s four-day UK trip last year, and its made to completely avoid King Charles and Queen Camilla’s State Visit to the US.
For those unversed with the Windsor itinerary from that time, Prince William and Kate Middleton remained in the Scotland and later Bristol area for engagements while Prince Harry was touring London for a number of charities, most notably the WellChild Awards.
Now with their tour of Australia coinciding with that of King Charles US State Visit sources say, “Harry and Meghan’s tour of Australia is also well timed to avoid any awkwardness. They’ll be either still there or on their way back with jetlag by the time Charles and Camilla fly out.”
According to Woman’s Day, its not going to be easy though, because in the insider’s words, “it’s still going to be strange for Harry to watch his dad in America and not be involved in some way. He wants desperately to patch things up and have him spend time with Archie and Lilibet, but it’s all in Charles’s court. Harry has offered to fly into DC to make it easier on the King but it’s been made clear he’s to stay away.”
“Even Harry knew it was a mistake for Meghan to take a political side by refusing to meet Trump in the UK. It’s not Royal protocol. And now they’re paying for it by being excluded from America’s big 250-year celebration that’s drawn the British monarch to its shores for the first time in almost 20 years.”
