Sindh government spokesperson Sumeta Afzal Syed on Sunday said Shahrah-e-Bhutto has started playing its role in the development and public convenience of Karachi, and more than 20,000 vehicles have travelled on the road in just a few days of its inauguration.
A statement quoted Sumeta as saying the provincial government is determined to complete the second section of Shahrah-e-Bhutto up to Quaidabad by March 31. She said passengers of Quaidabad, Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Steel Town, Thatta and Badin would get more convenience from the second phase of the road.
She also said Shahrah-e-Bhutto is an important step towards the fulfilment of Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s manifesto for the development of the city.
