Dolly Parton 'desperately missing' Reba McEntire during health struggles
Dolly Parton crushed over distance from Reba McEntire
Dolly Parton is reportedly struggling with loneliness during her recovery period and missing close friend Reba McEntire.
Insiders told Radar Online that the country music icon has been "going stir-crazy" while recovering at her Tennessee home and wishes she could spend more time with McEntire.
However, McEntire's packed schedule has made regular visits difficult. She is currently busy balancing filming commitments for Happy's Place and relationship with fiancé Rex Linn.
An insider said, "In an ideal world, McEntire would be popping over to see Parton every day, or at least a few times each week. But she's up to her eyes with her own commitments."
"Her schedule is absolutely jam-packed! She's traveling all over the country and barely coming up for air. She's constantly exhausted," they added.
The source revealed that McEntire barely manages to sneak in a phone call or text Parton, saying, "They hang out if Reba has time when she's in the neighborhood. But it's just not logistically possible for them to arrange much if any face time. Besides that, Dolly's been snowed in during this long winter."
"Dolly sees her carers, her sisters and other local friends. But there's no substitute for seeing old friends, especially Reba, who's like her twin sister," the source said.
Adding that Dolly Parton "terribly" misses Reba McEntire and wishes they could find a way to hang out.
