Resumption of Peshawar-Karachi PIA flights demanded

PESHAWAR: Expressing concern over closure of PIA flight operation from Peshawar to Karachi, the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Thursday demanded its immediate resumption.

SCCI president Fuad Ishaq in a statement said that the PIA was operating only one flight from Peshawar to Karachi in a week. “Now the PIA has closed the Peshawar to Karachi operation for the last several months due to which the business community has been facing difficulties,” he added.The SCCI president said the PIA’s move to halt flight operations from Peshawar to Karachi had created unrest among the business community and people of the province.
