PESHAWAR: Tree plantation campaign has been launched in the Peshawar division to bolster environmental conservation across the five districts — Peshawar, Nowshera, Charsadda, Mohmand, and Khyber.

Teams, consisting of assistant commissioners and district forest officers, have been constituted to oversee the implementation and ensure that targets are met.The commissioner said he would undertake daily visits to monitor the progress and ensure accountability, warning of a strict action against any district failing to meet its targets. He urged the religious scholars, local communities, traders, civil society, and especially the youth, to actively participate in the initiative.
