KARACHI: The Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon awarded constable Shahnawaz Khan a cash prize of Rs500,000 and a certificate of appreciation for winning the title of South Asian Bodybuilding.
Shahnawaz, who is posted at Mominabad police station, was given the cheque at Central Police Office Karachi. IG Sindh said that by winning this title “you have not only brought glory to Pakistan but also to the Sindh Police Department.”
The IG said that the Sindh police eepartment has always supported healthy activities like sports and various sports teams of Sindh Police including cricket, football, volleyball, boxing, and karate are currently active in various domestic and foreign sports competitions and are bringing laurels to the country.
He told Shahnawaz that Sindh Police would continue to fully support him for national and foreign bodybuilding competitions. Additional IG Welfare, DIG Establishment, SSP West, AIG Welfare and Finance were also present on the occasion.
