There are thousands of cases pending in Pakistan and many defendants have been waiting for justice for years. It would not be wrong to say that, in many cases, a petition filed by a man will have to be pursued by his grandsons long after he has passed.
The causes of delayed justice are varied and include unlimited adjournments and a lack of lawyers. The authorities need to look into this issue and facilitate the timely provision of justice.
