PIA begins preparation for UK flight operations
As part of these preparations, PIA has invited bids for the provision of in-flight catering services at London, Manchester, and Birmingham Airports
LAHORE: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) officials are hopeful about receiving permission to commence flight operations to the United Kingdom.
In anticipation, the national airline has initiated preparations to operate 22 weekly flights from Pakistan to the UK.
As part of these preparations, PIA has invited bids for the provision of in-flight catering services at London, Manchester, and Birmingham Airports.
The airline is seeking bids for at least 6,500 meals for nine weekly flights at Manchester Airport, 7,500 meal packs for 10 weekly flights at London Airport, 2,200 food packs for two weekly flights at Birmingham Airport.
According to the advertisement issued by PIA, interested companies can submit their technical and financial proposals until June 27, 2024.
This move marks a significant step in PIA’s efforts to resume direct flight operations to the UK, aiming to enhance passenger experience with quality in-flight catering services.
