Senior leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former MPA Shahzad Qureshi has said that during our time there was no loadshedding in Karachi.

Nepra has totally failed and it should change its behaviour; otherwise, it will face dire consequences, he said. In a statement, the former MPA said the main problem of Karachi is water and electricity shortage, 18-hour loadshedding is happening in Karachi.

He further said that the prices of electricity are being increased continuously, and courts should take notice of the manner in which 34 billion rupees are being imposed on the people. Children are having their exams here and their condition has also deteriorated due to lack of electricity, Qureshi said, adding that the power outage has made the situation worse for the citizens.

K-Electric is playing the role of mafia, he alleged and said those who became MNAs after Form 47 should be ashamed, and it seems as if political revenge is being taken from the people of Karachi.

He asked those who claim democracy to show seriousness. The former Sindh Assembly member said 30 percent of people have been forced to install their own solar system. He called upon the rulers to remember that the people of Karachi are not abandoned and the people will take to the streets and protest outside the K Electric and Water Board offices. Until the people of Karachi get their rights, the PTI will not remain silent, the former lawmaker said and warned that if Karachi stops, the whole of Pakistan will stop.
