The country is once again heading towards a showdown between the executive and the judiciary, as it has in almost every preceding decade. This is nothing new for this crisis-ridden nation. Governance, economy, security, foreign policy and almost all other aspects of national life are in shambles. Firefighting is our main modus operandi and no political party or individual comes up with a plan to set our problems right over the long term and put in place a system that keeps things moving in the right direction.
Kicking the can down the road rather than resolving the issue at hand has done a lot of damage to the nation. There is a need for some soul-searching and to give this county judicious policies and implementation so that this sinking ship is saved from becoming another Titanic.
