Sindh is now burning due to a scorching spell of heat and summer has only just arrived. This is not merely a seasonal change as the hot weather has been exacerbated by environmental problems such as massive deforestation and climate change. Meanwhile, the law and order situation in the province shows no signs of improving.
Amidst these difficulties the provincial rulers are, for the most part, silent spectators. The federal government and NGOs must step forward to save the help the people of Sindh face these challenges.
