This letter refers to the article ‘Two days that shook Quetta’ (May 19, 2024) by Ghazi Salahuddin. The writer narrates how his expectations of bad situations changed into extraordinary experiences after visiting Quetta for two days. I often hear the people of other provinces talking about the dangers of visiting Balochistan. This perception is not accurate.
Though Balochistan has security problems, the situation is not as bad as what is portrayed on social media. Instead of relying on such hearsay, people should visit Balochistan themselves and see what it is like. They will find that the people of the province are among the most hospitable anywhere in the world.
