Q1: Dear Mr Abidi, I have completed my Intermediate with pre-engineering. My ambition is to pursue a career as a space scientist, which I understand is a challenging path. Therefore, I am considering studying abroad. Could you please provide me with advice regarding the scope of astronautical engineering overseas? Additionally, if I decide to explore a different field related to physics and mathematics, what alternative career paths would you suggest?

(Saba Usman, Islamabad)

Ans: Dear Miss Saba, given your interest in space science, physics, and mathematics, I assume you have achieved commendable grades in Matric and FSc. You have several options for pursuing higher education in these fields within Pakistan. Reputable institutions in Islamabad, such as NUST, PIAS, Institute of Space Technology, Military College of Engineering, or Aeroline Institute of Aviation Studies, offer degrees in aeronautics or physics.

Q2: Respected Mr Abidi, I have recently completed a Bachelor's in Aviation Management and I am seeking guidance on further specialisation. I am considering pursuing a Master's in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Logistics/Supply Chain Management, or Marketing and Finance. Could you provide insight into the career prospects of these fields, considering my background in Aviation Management?

(Waqar Ali, Lahore)

Ans: Dear Waqar, congratulations on completing your degree in Aviation Management. Before immediately pursuing a master's programme, I suggest gaining practical experience or entering the workforce. Look for job opportunities within the aviation industry, and consider internships to gain hands-on experience. This will provide you with a better understanding of the industry's operations and help you to choose a specialisation relevant to aviation management for your future master's degree.

Q3: Respected Sir, I have aspirations of pursuing a career in fashion designing. Could you please guide me on the path of becoming a fashion designer? I am seeking advice on relevant colleges/universities offering programmes in this field and the career prospects associated with it.

(Ahmed Butt, Karachi)

Ans: Dear Ahmed, to provide suitable guidance, I would need more information about your educational background. However, if you are determined to pursue fashion designing, there are numerous institutions in Karachi offering degree programmes in fashion and apparel design. Some of these include Karachi School of Art, Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design etc. I recommend reaching out to these institutions to discuss your study plans and career opportunities within your specific area of interest in the field of fashion.

Q4: Dear Sir, I completed my degree in Electronics Engineering a few years ago and have encountered challenges in securing employment. I would greatly appreciate your guidance and advice on this matter.

(Aslam Mehdi, Hyderabad)

Ans: Dear Aslam, given your background in electronics engineering, which encompasses various domains such as electrical engineering, computer engineering, and communication engineering, I recommend exploring opportunities within organisations and companies involved in these areas. If you continue to face difficulties in finding relevant employment, consider seeking internships or training programmes to gain experience and knowledge within your engineering domain. These opportunities can also help you network with professionals who may assist you in finding full-time employment in the future.
