Five uplift schemes approved
LAHORE: The 53rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) F.Y 2023-24 was held under the Chairmanship of P&D Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan on Friday.
The meeting approved five development schemes of Women Development, IT, FW&F, Special Education and Environment sector with an estimated cost of Rs3.883 billion.
The approved schemes include establishment of Day Care Centres through PDCF Society at the cost of one billion rupees, Global IT Certifications Programme at the cost of Rs711.691 million, Wildlife Survey at the cost of Rs608.494 million, construction and establishment of Autism School at Lahore at the cost of Rs673.577 million, and establishment of Environmental Monitoring Centre (DLI-2, PGDP) at the cost of Rs889.338 million.
Secretary P&D Board Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Nasir Iqbal Malik, members P&D Board, head of relevant depts and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments attended the meeting.
